Facing challenges

Life is full of challenges.  Some are big, some are small.  Some are difficult, some are easily overcome.  Some make you want to push yourself and some make you want to curl up in a ball and hide.  No matter what your challenges are, they are real and important to you and they can be some of your greatest teachers.  But, don’t take them so seriously!

Yes, there are ‘serious’ challenges but anything can be made a little (or a lot) easier by shifting your perspective and your attitude.

Shifting perspectives and attitudes is central to “changing your mind.”  And when you change your mind, you change your life.  Here are a few tips to guide you through:

  • Difficulties exist to make you appreciate the good times, and teach you to be grateful for all you have.
  • The challenges are there to show you, in real life and real-time, how not to keep doing things the same way.
  • Challenges are there to make you more self-aware (since your thoughts and emotions are powerful creative forces).

Awareness is the first step to positive change; so build your self-awareness regarding your present challenges.  Be happy that you’ve found ways that don’t work and with an optimistic attitude, try something different.  Look at the situation from a different point of view and find innovative solutions.
